Retail leak points to Ryzen 7 9850X3D launch window

Retailers always leak the good stuff before companies get their act together. A French store published product pages for the unannounced Ryzen 7 9850X3D, pointing to a January 29 release. The listings reveal two versions covering a standard boxed unit and an OEM tray option. Specifications match earlier rumors regarding Zen 5 chips on the AM5 platform.

This processor features eight cores alongside sixteen threads under the Granite Ridge code name. It clocks at four point seven gigahertz base speed while boosting up to five point six gigahertz. The main selling point remains the one hundred four megabytes of total cache attributed to 3D V-Cache tech. Power draw hits one hundred twenty watts on a four-nanometer node.

Earlier leaks attached a price of around four hundred eighty-six dollars, even though this specific page shows no cost. An embargo document claims sales start at nine in the morning Eastern time without any pre-order phase. Buyers must wait for launch day to secure stock since early reservations are blocked.

The catalog lacks any mention of the rumored Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 model. That omission hints that only the eight-core variant is ready for shelves currently. Gamers watching the AM5 space should mark late January as the next big hardware drop.
