Rival bandits clash in Zamfara, kill 10 civilians in reprisal attack

Two criminal groups fought each other and killed innocent people during violence at Tofa village. The fighting happened across Zamfara State where bandits control different areas around the community. At least 10 residents died when armed criminals attacked their homes during the night. Several other villagers suffered gunshot wounds from the assault on Sunday. The deadly raid came after rival gangs battled over stolen property.

A bandit leader called Uban Gora stopped a Golf car traveling from Dansadau on Saturday. He robbed the vehicle and took money from people inside near Magami District. Criminal groups from the eastern part of Tofa village became angry about this theft. They confronted Uban Gora and shot him dead during their argument. His death sparked revenge attacks against the entire community.

Uban Gora's gang members gathered weapons and planned to strike back at the village. They waited until Sunday night to launch their assault on sleeping families. The criminals arrived after dark and began shooting at houses without warning. They killed 10 people before leaving the area and disappearing into the forest. Many residents fled their homes after the deadly raid.

People living at Tofa village fear more attacks will happen soon. They asked government officials to send soldiers to protect their community from bandits. Families cannot sleep peacefully because criminals might return anytime. Local leaders worry the violence will spread to other nearby villages. Residents want security forces to arrest all gang members responsible for these murders.
