Hollywood director Rob Reiner and his photographer wife Michele got found dead at their Brentwood mansion under circumstances that cops are treating as a double homicide. The guy behind When Harry Met Sally, Stand By Me, and A Few Good Men was 78, while Michele was 68 when authorities showed up after getting a call for medical help. Nobody has been arrested, and police are not looking for any suspects right now.
Reiner made his name acting in All in The Family before switching to directing and pumping out classic movies through the 80s and 90s. His latest project was the Spinal Tap sequel that dropped a few months back. Michele ran a photography agency while raising three kids with her husband after they got married back in 1989.
Obama and a bunch of Democratic politicians put out statements about losing someone who fought hard for civil rights and kids' causes, besides just making movies people remember.
