Ruto Kicks Off Projects in Meru and Kirinyaga

President William Ruto embarked on a development-focused tour through the Mount Kenya region, advancing infrastructure and agricultural initiatives across Meru and Kirinyaga counties. Accompanied by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, Ruto strategically launched critical projects targeting economic empowerment and rural transformation. The presidential visit centered on expanding critical services and infrastructure to uplift local communities.

During his stop at Kirinyaga, Ruto inaugurated an Artificial Insemination Centre designed to revolutionize livestock breeding practices. The president emphasized how targeted goat insemination programs would dramatically improve animal genetics, ultimately driving agricultural productivity. These systematic interventions aim to strengthen Kenya's food security framework and provide meaningful financial opportunities for rural farmers.

Traveling to Igembe, Ruto commissioned the Nkuene Electricity Sub-Station, signaling a major electricity expansion across South Imenti. The project promises to electrify more than 20,000 households across multiple constituencies, including Buuri, Central Imenti, Igembe Central, Igembe North, Igembe South, North Imenti, Tigania East, and Tigania West. Ruto declared electricity access as a fundamental necessity rather than a luxury.

The president underscored his administration's commitment to reliable and affordable electricity infrastructure. Through strategic connections, the government seeks to catalyze entrepreneurship and accelerate economic transformation across rural Kenya. Ruto's methodical approach demonstrates a targeted effort to bridge infrastructural gaps and empower communities through essential technological upgrades.
