Kenya's leaders promise to finish big state projects across the nation. Deputy President Kithure Kindiki says these plans will help grow the country's economy.
President William Ruto traveled to Kenya's Western region and started work on new buildings and roads to help local people.
The team went to Budalangi in Busia county. There, they began work on a wall to stop River Nzoia from flooding. This wall will keep Lake Victoria's water from harming farms and schools near the river.
"We want to help all Kenyans," Ruto said. "We care about making lives better, not about tribal fights." He spoke about his plan to bring growth to every part of Kenya.
Kindiki backed the President's words. He said they want to improve farming, fishing, and sugar-growing. These changes should help many Kenyans earn more money.
The group then went to Vihiga County, where they started building the Luanda Modern Market. The new market will cost 366 million shillings and, when completed in 18 months, accommodate 2,000 sellers.
The market will have many parts. Farmers can sell fresh food there, and people can also sell clothes and household items. The building will have offices, bathrooms, and places to store cold food.
Ruto said Kenya's money troubles are getting better. "We fought hard for two years to fix our economy," he said. "We can start new projects all over Kenya."
The Luanda market is one of 400 markets the state wants to build. The state hopes these markets will create jobs and help young people work.
The leaders also visited two other places. They started building a new class block at a girls' school in Busia. They began work at a hospital in Kakamega County.
