President William Ruto spoke at a building project in Kilifi County. He made big promises to the people who live near the ocean in Kenya.
"The Coast area has been left behind for many years," President Ruto said. He thinks people there have been treated badly and forgotten. "This is the government that will change the Coast area," he promised.
President Ruto was starting a new housing project when he made these promises. He wants to build homes that people can afford. He told everyone he would make sure the Coast grows just like other parts of Kenya.
"You will not be left behind anymore. The Coast will be the same as the rest of Kenya," he said. He wants all people from the Coast to join him. "We will walk together," he added.
The President also talked about fixing land problems in the area. Many people there do not have papers for their land. He said his government has answers for these old problems.
