Ruwa Businessman Loses 185k And Gun Overnight

A businessman lost his gun and nearly $185,000 at his girlfriend's house during the weekend. Joseph Maruta collected $181,000 from a Kwekwe farm after selling potato seeds. The 40-year-old man drove home to Kambuzuma and picked up his loaded pistol. He traveled to Leoba Hunda's residence located near Ruwa. The couple brought the money bag and weapon inside her Springvale home.

Hunda locked the front door and both people went to sleep around bedtime. An alarm woke Maruta at 2am from a neighbor's property. His girlfriend checked the noise source and returned to tell him everything seemed fine. The pair went back to sleep until morning arrived. Maruta discovered thieves had stolen his cash bag and firearm during the night.

Police confirmed the theft case through spokesman Inspector Luckmore Entonces. Officers found damage to the rear car window at the crime scene. Investigators believe criminals entered the house and took the businessman's belongings. The stolen pistol contained two magazines holding 15 bullets each. Detectives continue searching for suspects responsible for the break-in.
