Rye Coalition returns with Paid In Full 7-Inch and Shellac Wingwalker cover

Jersey City band Rye Coalition returns to music after 18 years. The post-hardcore group last made an album called Curses back in 2006. They plan to release a new 7-inch record next month called Paid In Full. The band has already shared their cover version of a Shellac song called Wingwalker. Ernest Jenning Record Co. will put out the release on July 18.

The new record honors two musicians who died recently. Steve Albini from Shellac and Rick Froberg from Drive Like Jehu both passed away within the past year. Rye Coalition covers Wingwalker from Shellac on one side of the record. The other side features their version of Bullet Train To Vegas from Drive Like Jehu. The band will donate all money from sales to a Chicago charity called Letters to Santa.

Steve Albini and his wife Heather Whinna worked closely with Letters to Santa. The charity helps children during the holidays. Rye Coalition chose this charity to keep Albini's memory alive through his charitable work. Music fans can hear the Wingwalker cover right away. The full 7-inch record arrives in stores and online next month.
