Ryzen 9 PRO X3D chip leaks with 16 cores and 170W TDP

AMD just slapped their gaming cache onto a workstation chip because overkill rules everything. A fresh leak from NBD shipping logs reveals the Ryzen 9 PRO 9965X3D exists. This heavy hitter brings the legendary 3D V-Cache tech to the professional lineup for the first time. The manifest lists a massive 16-core setup running at 170W TDP.

Twitter user Olrak29_ found the entry. This unit appears to function as the business-class twin of the consumer Ryzen 9 9950X3D model. Marketing teams likely tweaked the name slightly to help buyers differentiate it from the standard desktop version while keeping it above the PRO 9945.

Enthusiasts expect this flagship to pack around 144 MB of total cache. No official reports confirm whether Team Red plans multiple versions of dual-layered chips yet. Specs might shift before launch, since early data often changes without warning.

The existing PRO 9000 family tops out at 12 cores. Adding this beast provides a serious upgrade for anyone needing massive L3 cache in a corporate environment. Fans still wait for details on that rumored dual-3D variant mentioned previously.
