Sabalenka Owns Up After Meltdown in Paris

Tennis star Aryna Sabalenka sent a private message to Coco Gauff after making harsh comments about their French Open final match. The world number one player admitted her words were completely wrong and unprofessional. Sabalenka lost the championship match after making 70 mistakes during play. She told reporters that Gauff won only because of those errors rather than great tennis.

The 27-year-old Belarusian player said she felt terrible about the statements she made to news reporters. She explained that strong emotions took control of her thinking after the disappointing loss. Sabalenka has reached two major finals this year but lost both matches. She also fell short at the Australian Open against Madison Keys earlier this season.

The three-time Grand Slam winner learned important lessons about managing her feelings during tough moments. She spent time thinking about why she keeps losing big matches when pressure builds up. Sabalenka realized that getting emotional hurts her performance against top opponents like Gauff.

The tennis champion will start preparing for grass court season at the Berlin Open tournament. She earned the top seed position for that event before Wimbledon begins on June 30. Sabalenka hopes her new mental approach will help her win future championship matches.
