SADC steps up to boost livelihoods across the region

The Southern African Development Community plans to make life better for everyone in the region. Professor Amon Murwira, who heads Foreign Affairs and International Trade, explained this at the final SADC Council meeting in Harare today. As chairperson of the Council, Murwira talked about what they have achieved recently. He pointed to clear progress on their Regional Plan for 2020-2030.

Murwira discussed the challenges they face but saw these as chances to grow. The group uses these difficult situations to learn and create new strategies as global conditions change. Moving ahead, the SADC wants to focus mainly on carrying out what they decide. Their key goal involves turning words into real results.

The minister emphasized that action matters more than just making plans. SADC leaders want to create actual improvements that people can see and feel in their daily lives. All their efforts aim toward one purpose - helping citizens across all SADC countries live better through their combined work and shared goals.
