Swakopmund musician Sagarias Tsam will represent Namibia at the Marafiki Arts Festival in Tanzania, performing blues and traditional compositions at venues in Dar es Salaam and Bagamoyo. The Tsumeb native has two scheduled appearances at Nafasi Arts Space in Mikocheni, where he joins performers from across East Africa showcasing afrobeat, hip hop, singeli, and other genres. Festival organizers selected artists based on their ability to explore creative boundaries through live performance.
The singer expressed confidence about delivering memorable shows for Tanzanian audiences, noting his recent appearance at Liefde By Die Dam in Windhoek prepared him well. Support from the National Arts Council of Namibia enabled the trip. Tsam has additional concerts lined up domestically in Swakopmund through early next year.
