Saltycroissant Smashes DDR5 to a Crazy 12806 MTs

A Canadian overclocker named saltycroissant broke the world record for DDR5 memory speed. He pushed his system to 12,806 MT/s on an ASRock Z890 Taichi OCF motherboard. The previous record lasted less than a day after bl4ckdot hit 12,774 MT/s.

Saltycroissant used Corsair Vengeance DDR5 memory with liquid nitrogen cooling and an Intel Core Ultra 7 265K processor. His achievement marks the first time anyone has crossed the 12,800 MT/s barrier with DDR5 memory. The setup kept the same cache latency as the previous record, CL68-127-127-127-2.

The Z890 platform leads the way for extreme DDR5 memory performance. Experts believe we might soon see speeds reach 13,000 MT/s with current memory modules. Top memory manufacturers like V-Color, G.Skill, and Corsair continue to compete in this high-performance space.
