Leaders from Otjozondjupa want everyone to remember how special Sam Nujoma was. James Uerikua tells us Nujoma worked hard to make life better for all Namibians. He built many things to help people live better lives.
Nujoma loved children very much. He made a school at his farm called Etunda near Otavi. He also built a place where sick people could see doctors. In 2017, he gave this medical place to the government health workers. Uerikua thinks all Namibians should try to be kind like Nujoma.
Marlayn Mbakera says Nujoma kept helping people even after he stopped being president. He made many useful places at his farm. People could buy food, put gas in their cars, stay at a nice place to sleep, and have fun there. He let more than 100 people sell their things at his farm without asking them to pay any money.
Imms Namaseb remembers how Nujoma helped free Namibia. Before Namibia became free, police officers would not let black people walk through towns or sit in parks. The parks were only for white people. Nujoma told everyone Namibia would be free one day. This made many people want to help make Namibia free.
Namaseb says Nujoma did everything to help other people. He wanted all Namibians to have good lives. He was such a good leader that people in other places like South Africa wanted to be free just like Namibia.
