Samsung Plans Tri Fold Galaxy and Z Flip 7 FE for Year End

Samsung plans to launch two new foldable phones later this year. The first will be a tri-fold Galaxy device nicknamed the Galaxy G Fold that can bend in three places. The second will be a budget version called the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. According to The Bell, both phones should arrive between October and December. Samsung wants to compete with Huawei's Mate XT, which already has a tri-fold display that impressed many people.

The company started making screens for its regular Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 models, which will come out in July or August. The tri-fold and budget models need more time to finish. Samsung hopes these new phones will help it take back market share from Chinese competitors. The cheaper Z Flip model aims to make foldable phones more mainstream for average consumers.

Apple still hasn't released any foldable phones despite Samsung selling them for five years. Many critics say Apple lacks innovation with its designs. Samsung believes foldable screens represent the future of large smartphones. The company hasn't announced prices yet, but fans wonder if the budget Flip model might cost less than $1,000.
