Samsung starts OLED panels early for the M6 MacBook Pro

Apple finally decided to fix its laptop screens while ditching outdated tech. The Cupertino firm reportedly plans to swap mini-LEDs for OLED panels on the M6 MacBook Pro. Manufacturing partner Samsung apparently kicked off production ahead of the original timeline. This shift suggests the revamped machines might arrive earlier than the usual release window. Only the M6 Pro and Max variants receive these specific upgrades.

Sources claim the Korean supplier began making 8.6-generation displays recently instead of waiting. These units supposedly utilize tandem architecture similar to the M5 iPad Pro. Stacking two light-emitting layers boosts brightness and longevity while maintaining efficiency. Early fabrication lets engineers verify quality before mass assembly starts.

Rumors indicate the new fourteen and sixteen-inch models feature touchscreen support and eliminate the controversial notch. Samsung likely accelerated operations to beat competitors LG and BOE for future contracts. Securing a lead helps the manufacturer lock down orders. Enthusiasts simply want this hardware to materialize quickly, regardless of corporate maneuvering.
