School director in Secunderabad was cooking Alprazolam for toddy

Telangana authorities expanded their investigation into drug production at Medha High School after discovering the educational facility served as a front for narcotics manufacturing. Officers from the Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement recovered 3.5 kilograms of finished Alprazolam and 4.3 kilograms of partially processed substances during their operation. The raid yielded 21 lakh rupees in cash, representing two days of sales revenue, along with production equipment and raw materials. Investigators arrested three suspects, led by Malela Jaya Prakash Goud, the 39-year-old school director from Mahabubnagar district. Law enforcement officials determined the facility had operated for twelve months while maintaining the appearance of educating 130 students through seventh grade.

Goud established the manufacturing operation after learning production techniques from associate Guruva Reddy for 2 lakh rupees. The operation supplied Alprazolam to toddy vendors throughout the Mahabubnagar district for mixing with alcoholic beverages. Authorities connected the illegal drugs to recent poisoning incidents that killed nine people and hospitalized fifty others in Hyderabad. Police continue interrogating suspects to identify additional network members and chemical suppliers. The investigation revealed systematic distribution channels extending across multiple districts within the state.
