Scott Sakupwanya gives Simba Bhora US$100 000 for CAF

Better Brands owner Scott Sakupwanya provided financial support worth US$100,000 to Simba Bhora before their continental competition debut. The Scottland FC president committed additional funds to cover player bonuses should the Shamva team advance past their Eswatini opponents, Nsingizini Hotspurs FC. Simba Bhora earned their inaugural CAF Champions League opportunity through a strong domestic league performance last season. The team will play their opening match at Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown, Botswana, on Sunday. Their home venue failed to satisfy competition standards for hosting international fixtures.

The second leg takes place in Eswatini the following weekend, with aggregate scores determining advancement. Sakupwanya's company serves as the official sponsor for the club through their Better Brands partnership. The donation addresses travel expenses and preparation costs for this historic campaign. Victory over both legs would secure progression to face stronger continental opposition. This financial backing represents significant support for the team's first major international tournament participation.
