Security officials have identified the second suicide bomber in the September 30, 2025, attack on Frontier Corps Headquarters in Quetta as Mohammad Sohail, known by the alias Khabab, an Afghan national from Maidan Shahr district in Wardak province. The assault killed eight civilians and wounded 40 others.
Authorities characterized the incident as another example of Afghan militants linked to Fitna al-Khawarij carrying out violence in Pakistan. Officials stated that the Afghan Taliban government's failure to honor commitments and its ongoing backing of militant groups pose dangers throughout the region.
