Second victim dies after crash involving artist Kharishma

A second fatality has occurred following a traffic collision that involved Limpopo musician Kharishma in Polokwane. The passenger, who attended the University of Limpopo and worked as an artist, died at Pietersburg hospital after spending over two weeks receiving treatment for crash injuries.

The incident happened between Grobler and Magazyn streets when the group was traveling back from a performance. Driver Vincent Maphopha, age 24, died immediately at the collision site and was subsequently buried in Groblersdal. Maphopha was pursuing final year studies at the University of Limpopo with graduation expected in 2026, while simultaneously working as a musician.

The performer, whose legal name is Melita Mogale and who is 21 years old, was accompanied by colleagues during the accident.
