Zimbabwe celebrates as Shamiso Mutsahuni from Irene Christian College won a bronze medal at the African Spelling Bee competition in Abuja, Nigeria. She competed against top students from across Africa in the senior category. Her third-place finish brought honor to Zimbabwe among seven participating nations.
The prestigious continental spelling contest featured talented young people from Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Zambia, Benin, Ivory Coast, Rwanda, and Ghana. Zimbabwe sent six exceptional spellers to represent the country. These students came from different schools across Zimbabwe - Ivainashe Mbanda and Chelsea Chingaira from Kyle College, Lauren Phillips from Uppervale College, Anisha Zvina from Goldridge, and Mufaro Munyaradzi from Celebration International School.
