A teenage girl got tricked into sending nude photos after crooks promised her easy money online. The 14-year-old joined a Telegram group that offered RM250 daily for completing simple tasks. She paid RM500 upfront but found herself locked out of the payment system after finishing her work. Scammers then demanded RM1,000 to fix the problem and sent her to a loan shark called Terry. Terry told the girl to send naked pictures of herself as security for the loan.
The girl sent the photos but still could not access the payment platform. Terry then demanded she apply for a bigger RM3,000 loan but rejected her application. He claimed she needed to pay off her first debt before getting more money. The girl's parents scrambled together RM1,500 to settle the matter. Terry refused the payment and said it came at the wrong time and broke his computer system.
The loan shark then demanded RM15,000 and threatened to post the girl's nude photos online if she refused to pay. He warned that her whole family would suffer if the debt stayed unpaid. The terrified teenager reported the case to MCA Public Services and Complaints Department. Officials said she was one of three people who came forward about being blackmailed after sending nude photos to loan sharks. Police are investigating the case through their Sexual, Women and Child Investigation Division.
