Silent Hill f returns series to Japanese roots this September

KONAMI prepares to release Silent Hill f on September 25 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X platforms. The survival horror game marks the franchise's first Japanese setting during the 1960s. Players control high school student Hinako Shimizu as she investigates mysterious fog that engulfs the fictional town of Ebisugaoka. Author Ryukishi07 crafted the standalone narrative while composer Akira Yamaoka returns to create the musical score.

Hong Kong developer NeoBards Entertainment builds the game using Unreal Engine 5 technology. The Standard Edition costs $69.99 while the Deluxe Edition sells for $79.99 with additional digital content. Pre-order customers receive costume items and equipment bonuses across both versions. Deluxe Edition buyers gain 48-hour early access beginning September 23.

The game features traditional Silent Hill elements such as complex puzzles and grotesque monsters. System requirements demand 16GB RAM and 50GB storage space. NVIDIA DLSS support enhances performance on compatible hardware. The fictional Ebisugaoka draws inspiration from real Japanese mountain towns.
