SIT grills North East Fest crew in Zubeen death

Assam Police intensified their investigation into singer Zubeen Garg's death in Singapore by questioning multiple individuals connected to the North East Festival. Deputy Superintendent Sandipan Garg appeared before Crime Investigation Department officials on Tuesday after being present aboard the yacht when the 52-year-old performer died earlier this month. Musician Shekharjyoti Goswami and festival organizer Amritprabha Mahanta faced interrogation on Monday before their release that evening. Authorities examined eight additional people linked to the event where Garg was scheduled to perform.

Investigators concentrate on determining whether the festival had officially commenced when the tragedy occurred, and they seek to establish the exact sequence of events before Singapore Police recovered him from the water. The Special Investigation Team coordinates with Singaporean officials while collecting witness statements, and lookout notices were issued against two organizers. Garg died on Sept. 19.
