Siwelele make history with first away win over Stellenbosch

Bloemfontein-based Siwelele FC secured their inaugural away victory in the Betway Premiership, defeating Stellenbosch FC two-nil at Athlone Stadium on Wednesday. Striker Tebogo Potsane opened the scoring in the third minute, followed by Siviwe Magidigidi's second-half goal. This win lifted Siwelele to tenth position with fourteen points from twelve matches.

Stellenbosch suffered their third consecutive defeat across all competitions, leaving them in fifteenth place with nine points and facing potential relegation. The Cape club dominated possession but failed to penetrate Siwelele's organized defense. Goalkeeper Ricardo Goss recorded a clean sheet for the visitors.

Siwelele achieved back-to-back league victories for the first time this season. Both teams now enter an international break before resuming play on November 22. Siwelele will travel to face AmaZulu while Stellenbosch visits Orbit College seeking their first win in four outings. This result marked a significant milestone for the Mangaung club's top-flight campaign.
