So apparently 10,000 people left APC for Ngbede's ADC in Agatu

Approximately 10,000 political party members switched allegiance to the African Democratic Congress during Saturday ceremonies in Agatu Local Government Area. The mass defection occurred on May 13, 2025, when Benue State ADC Chairman Terngu Tsegba formally launched party operations in the region. Former commissioners, local government chairmen, and grassroots supporters abandoned their previous political affiliations. Sir John Ngbede emerged as the primary catalyst behind this political realignment. The ceremony attracted numerous dignitaries from across Benue South Senatorial District.

Tsegba praised local organizers for conducting the state's largest political gathering of its kind. He credited Ngbede with mobilizing community support and demonstrating exceptional leadership capabilities. The state chairman expressed confidence that ADC would capture all electoral positions within the local government area. Ngbede contributed a building to establish the party's regional headquarters. The former Water Resources Commissioner declared that traditional party dominance had ended in Agatu.
