Solar water project sparks Tororo miracle for 4000 residents

The government is building a special water system in Tororo that runs on solar power. This big project will cost eight hundred million shillings and will help four thousand people have clean water every day.

Mr. Lam Olweny from the water office wants people to have clean water near their homes. He says this will stop people from becoming sick and help them make money from their businesses.

Mr. Apollo Ofwono, who helps make decisions for the area, thinks clean water will improve people's lives. He says when people have good water, they can raise chickens and start other small businesses to earn money.

The people who live in Tororo feel happy about this news. Gerald Ochieng grows plants and vegetables. He has to walk very far to bring water for his garden. He needs twenty-four big water containers each day, which makes him tired. He believes the new water system will help him grow more plants.

Another farmer named Alex Oketcho says the old water had lots of salt in it. When he used this water on his plants, they died. He thinks the new water will work much better for growing things.

Tororo is located on many hills, which makes finding good water difficult. The new sun-powered water system will fix this problem. People believe this project will change their lives and help them earn more money from farming and other work.
