Soyuz drops first dynamic mic, the V1, blending stage grit with studio polish

Soyuz just dropped their first dynamic microphone after spending years making only condenser models, and the V1 is trying to work for both live shows and recording sessions. The company says it has extended highs plus a midrange that stays balanced while the low end keeps things tight, and they claim the proximity effect stays under control when you get close to it. The whole thing got designed by their in-house crew and runs $279.

The mic has a custom transformer that adds some character without losing detail, and the basket does more than look good since it actually helps with the acoustics. David Brown from Soyuz mentioned they waited until they could make something that felt like their brand before jumping into dynamics, and he called it durable while keeping things musical.
