Sri Lanka flops in two-run Super Over loss

Sri Lanka matched India's total of 202 runs during their Asia Cup Super Fours encounter at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday. The tied result forced both teams into a decisive super over period. Pathum Nissanka achieved his maiden century while Kusal Perera contributed 58 runs for the Lankan batting effort. Abhishek Sharma struck 61 runs, and Tilak Varma remained unbeaten on 49 for India's innings.

Arshdeep Singh claimed two wickets during Sri Lanka's super over attempt, restricting them to just two runs. Suryakumar Yadav completed India's chase of three runs with a single delivery. The victory secured India's progression despite this match having minimal tournament significance. Both sides demonstrated exceptional batting performances throughout the thrilling contest, which entertained the spectators.
