SSNIT takes George Aggudey to the Accra court over reports

Ghana's Social Security and National Insurance Trust has taken legal action against George Aggudey, who leads Gocrest Security Company Ltd, over allegations that he did not submit mandatory social security contribution reports for his employees. Court documents show the former Convention People's Party presidential candidate failed to file required reports spanning several months and refused to provide employee records despite repeated demands from authorities.

The trust alleges Gocrest Security Company Limited violated multiple provisions of the National Pensions Act by not submitting contribution documentation and supporting materials. After attempts to personally serve Aggudey proved unsuccessful, a district court authorized alternative service methods, including posting notices on the courthouse board and sending documents through his WhatsApp contact.

The hearing is scheduled to proceed at an Accra district court under the supervision of Nancy A. Adade. Prosecutors from the trust's Adabraka branch are handling the case against the registered Ghanaian company.
