St Petersburg Faces Citywide Mobile Service Outages

Mobile phone users across St. Petersburg have flooded complaint services with reports about internet and calling problems. The Downdetector service shows widespread outages hitting multiple city districts at the same time. People cannot make calls or send text messages through their phones.

The technical failures affect several neighborhoods around St. Petersburg. Moskovsky and Krasnoselsky districts show the most severe connection problems. Users trying to send SMS messages receive error notifications instead of successful delivery confirmations.

Areas outside the main city also face similar disruptions. The Leningrad region reports matching connectivity issues that mirror those seen within St. Petersburg boundaries. Rural and suburban customers experience the same dropped connections as urban residents.

TELE2 and Megafon customers filed the most complaints about unstable network performance. These two mobile carriers appear to have more severe outages than other providers in the region. Subscribers from both companies struggle with basic phone functions and data access.

Phone company representatives have not made any public statements about the widespread service disruptions. No official explanations exist for what caused the technical problems or when normal service might return to affected customers.
