St. Petersburg residents can look forward to pleasant weather over the next three days. Alexander Kolesov leads the weather center for the region and says an anticyclone will bring rising air pressure. Warm air will move into the northern city from the west. Temperatures will climb each day as the sun heats things up more.
Saturday will see temperatures reach 22 degrees Celsius around the city. Sunday and Monday will be even warmer with readings between 22 and 24 degrees. The lakes and rivers around St. Petersburg and nearby areas will start warming up faster. Swimming season might start before the end of June because of the warmer water temperatures. Weather experts expect these comfortable conditions to continue through the weekend and into early next week.
