Stanbic Bank Launches FlexiPay Cashback Explosion to Promote Digital Payments

Stanbic Bank started the FlexiPay Cashback Explosion campaign for customers across Uganda. The three-month program gives rewards to people who use digital payments. FlexiPay works as a mobile payment system that anyone can use without opening a bank account. Josephine Nakato manages customer experience at FlexiPay and talks about helping customers discover digital banking benefits. The company wants to make banking easier and more fun for everyone.

Customers earn instant rewards when they spend money through FlexiPay during everyday activities. People who spend 50,000 shillings or more receive 10 percent cashback on their purchases. The bank designed the program to make regular transactions more valuable for users. Douglas Wakabi and Leticia Kyomuhendo became the first winners at Senana shopping center. They won the One Minute Trolley Dash game where winners race against time to collect items.

The campaign operates at gas stations, restaurants, supermarkets and clothing stores throughout the country. Customers learn how to use FlexiPay for different services like utility bills and school fees. Jackie Abwol works as Brand and Marketing Manager for FlexiPay and explains the campaign goals. She says Stanbic Bank planned many surprises and activities during the 90-day period. The bank encourages Ugandans to move toward cashless payments and earn extra money back.
