Star Wars Zero Company on Deck for Saturday

Electronic Arts and Bit Reactor will introduce their single-player Star Wars turn-based tactics game on Saturday. The game carries the official title Star Wars Zero Company and appears as one of EA's remaining Star Wars projects after Respawn canceled an unannounced shooter earlier this year. Game enthusiasts have speculated that the new title might resemble the tactical gameplay of XCOM, but we will receive full details during the upcoming Star Wars Celebration event.

The celebration starts Friday and continues through Sunday, with the game presentation scheduled for a one-hour panel at 1:30 p.m. Pacific Time. Star Wars Zero Company represents a departure from recent Star Wars game styles like Star Wars Outlaws and Respawn's Jedi series, which focused on third-person action adventures.

Other anticipated Star Wars game projects remain uncertain, with Star Wars Eclipse potentially being delayed beyond 2026 and the Knights of the Old Republic Remake facing continued production questions. The tactical approach suggests gamers can expect a different experience from recent Star Wars interactive entertainment. Fans will learn more about the game's specific mechanics and storyline during the weekend panel.
