Stellantis completed a major expansion at its Kenitra manufacturing facility in western Morocco this week. The automotive company will boost annual vehicle output from 200,000 units to 535,000 units at the plant. Electric microcar production from Citroen, Opel, and Fiat brands will rise from 20,000 vehicles to 70,000 vehicles each year. The facility will manufacture 65,000 electric three-wheelers annually as part of the expansion. Company officials announced the project during Wednesday's inauguration ceremony.

The expansion creates more than 3,000 additional positions at the Moroccan facility. Current employment at the plant stands at 3,500 workers.
