Super Falcons Jet to Lisbon Before AFCON Glory Run

Nigeria's Super Falcons will leave Saturday for Lisbon before their friendly match against Portugal. Coach Justine Madugu leads the team into Monday's game against the European squad. The players and staff will travel to Morocco the next day to prepare for the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations.

The team will face Ghana's Black Princesses during another friendly match on Moroccan soil. Nigeria wants to capture their tenth continental championship and extend their record. Group B contains Tunisia, Botswana and Algeria alongside the Super Falcons.

All three opening matches will take place at Larbi Zaouli Stadium located in Casablanca. The tournament begins for Nigeria on Sunday, July 6 when they battle Tunisia. The Super Falcons hope their European and African friendlies will sharpen their skills before the main competition starts.
