Tanzania explores partnership with IFC to boost investment

Tanzania's Treasury Registrar, Nehemiah Mchechu, met with International Finance Corporation officials in Dar es Salaam to discuss strengthening investment frameworks and accelerating economic expansion. The discussions between senior Office of the Treasury Registrar personnel and IFC representatives included Country Manager Martine Valcin and officer Aida Sykes, focusing on potential partnerships between governmental bodies and international entities to advance sustainable capital deployment supporting national objectives.

Mchechu highlighted the office's interest in collaborating with established global institutions to improve public asset management and encourage private sector involvement across key economic areas. Valcin praised Tanzania's reform initiatives aimed at creating favorable investment conditions and confirmed the corporation's commitment to identifying impactful opportunities aligned with government priorities for enhanced productivity, employment generation and regional competitiveness.
