Northern zone officials echoed similar assurances, with Arusha Regional Commissioner Amos Makalla stating that defense and security agencies have thoroughly prepared for peaceful voting. District commissioners across Arusha, Kilimanjaro and Manyara regions reported that election materials reached all polling stations, with voting scheduled from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Southern zone leaders from Mtwara, Ruvuma and Lindi regions pledged heightened security at polling locations. Kagera Regional Commissioner Fatma Mwasa warned against spreading inflammatory social media messages, noting that 1.7 million voters will participate at 4,634 stations.
