The acting chairman of the BNP, Tarique Rahman, is traveling from London to Dhaka this week. He will be on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight with his wife and daughter. Their expected arrival is at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
His party has organized widespread rallies and welcoming events across Bangladesh to mark his return. In a recent speech abroad, Rahman specifically asked supporters not to gather at the airport upon his landing. He stated that honoring this request would show respect for both the party and the nation, adding that anyone who still goes would be seen as pursuing a personal agenda.
