Tarun Chugh hits out at Mahagathbandhan over leadership void

BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Wednesday criticized the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar, saying the alliance lacks leadership, clear policies, and intent. Reacting to the announcement of the Bihar election schedule, he said the Congress depends on other parties for political survival, with Rahul Gandhi relying on Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav for support. Chugh said voters in Bihar would reject what he called irresponsible leadership and choose development under the NDA government.

He accused Gandhi of defaming India abroad while undermining national institutions at home, claiming voters would have to choose between nepotism and progress. Chugh also condemned the attack on BJP MP Khagen Murmu in North Bengal and said West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s governance had turned violent and intolerant.

He said the silence of those who once praised Banerjee’s leadership showed growing disorder in the state, adding that the BJP remains committed to restoring democracy and ending vote-bank politics in Bengal.

Chugh also offered condolences on the death of Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda, calling his passing an irreparable loss to Punjabi culture. He said Jawanda’s voice and artistry earned love beyond Punjab and that his contribution to music would always be remembered.
