Team NINJA will make Nioh 3 slightly less bad

Team NINJA revealed fresh gameplay footage for Nioh 3 during the recent State of Play showcase. The developer confirmed February 6, 2026 as the official launch date for PC and PlayStation 5 platforms. Set during Japan's Sengoku period in 1572, the action title will incorporate authentic historical personalities from that era.

The sequel introduces dual combat systems alongside expanded level layouts that offer greater exploration freedom. Players will face more demanding adversaries and formidable boss encounters throughout their journey. A limited-time alpha demonstration allowed PlayStation 5 users to experience early gameplay mechanics before the full release.

Developer feedback from the alpha test prompted several enhancements for the final version. Team NINJA plans to implement control refinements, stage visibility improvements, and combat balance adjustments. Visual upgrades will feature enhanced Global Illumination technology, decreased atmospheric fog effects, and superior texture quality across game environments.
