TH Plantations CEO suspended as CFO quits over alleged RM5 million payment scandal

TH Plantations Bhd has issued formal notices to two senior executives regarding questionable financial transactions. The company's top leadership faces scrutiny over alleged improper disbursements totaling RM5.1 million to plantation employees. Mohamed Zainurin Mohamed Zain received a show cause letter and must remain away from his chief executive duties pending investigation. Chief Financial Officer Marliyana Omar also received similar documentation but chose to resign immediately. The plantation company filed these developments with Bursa Malaysia through official channels.

Operations will proceed without interruption despite the leadership changes. A temporary board executive committee assumes responsibility for the chief executive's functions during this transition period. Datuk Dr Ahmad Kushairi Din leads this interim group alongside three other senior figures. The committee draws members from various board positions and operational leadership roles. Business activities remain stable while the company addresses these personnel matters through proper corporate governance procedures.
