The Chattogram airport runway was closed for two hours after a Biman flight stalls

A plane packed with religious pilgrims caused major drama at Chattogram airport on Saturday morning. The Biman Bangladesh Airlines jet carried 387 people back from their holy trip to Madinah. Flight BG138 touched down at 9:30am without any problems at first. The pilot soon discovered something had gone wrong with the aircraft. The massive plane got stuck right on the main runway and could not move.

Airport workers scrambled to fix the mess as the aircraft blocked all other flights. The broken plane sat near the edge of Runway-23 for hours. Engineering teams worked fast to figure out what had failed. Airport spokesman Khalilur Rahman explained how crews dragged the aircraft away from the runway. They managed to tow the heavy jet to a safe parking area around 11:20am.

The runway nightmare lasted almost two full hours before normal operations started again. Other flights could not take off or land during the shutdown. Passengers waiting for their trips faced long delays and frustration. The airport finally reopened for business at 11:30am. Airlines had to reschedule many flights because of the breakdown.
