A fatal traffic accident claimed four lives and left three people injured when a passenger vehicle struck an auto-rickshaw Saturday in Gopalganj. The crash happened around noon at Majhigati bus stand along the Dhaka-Khulna highway in Kashiani upazila. An Imad Paribahan bus collided with the three-wheeled vehicle traveling from the opposite direction. One victim died immediately while three others passed away after reaching medical facilities.
The passengers had traveled from Madaripur district to attend a wedding ceremony in Majhigati. Bhanga Highway Police Sergeant Md Russell Mia confirmed the accident details. The three surviving victims remain in serious condition at Gopalganj General Hospital and Kashiani Upazila Hospital. Authorities have not yet released the names of those killed.
