This Easter Zimbabweans Are All About Peace

Christians across Zimbabwe came together for Easter celebrations yesterday. Church leaders from many denominations asked people to show sacrifice, love, peace, and unity for national stability. Believers gathered at various locations to remember Jesus Christ's death and resurrection. Religious guides reminded everyone that Easter calls for reflection and recommitment to compassion. They emphasized that Christ's resurrection invites national change and responsible leadership.

ZCC leader Bishop Nehemiah Mutendi praised progress made under President Mnangagwa with new roads, dams, schools, and food security. He called these achievements signs that Zimbabwe is moving toward its destiny. The well-attended celebrations at Mbungo Estate attracted visitors from America, Australia, Canada, Britain, Poland, Germany, Turkey, and African nations. Their trademark energetic dancing routines added entertainment value. The bishop assured everyone that Zimbabwe stands blessed rather than cursed.

United Family International Church held its annual Easter event at the Basilica in Chitungwiza. This year, the theme was "Restoration of Glory." At Harare's Anglican Cathedral, Reverend Dr Farai Mutamiri noted how Easter and Independence celebrations share liberation themes. He spoke about hope for tomorrow and peace that comes through faith in an independent Zimbabwe.
