Thousands rally in Kuala Lumpur as PN leaders demand Anwar resign over reforms

Approximately 18,000 demonstrators assembled at Dataran Merdeka for an opposition rally targeting Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Perikatan Nasional leaders demanded his resignation while criticizing his administration's performance. Supporters traveled from multiple states, wearing party colors and displaying protest signs. The gathering featured speeches from prominent figures, including Kedah Menteri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor and former Prime Ministers Dr. Mahathir Mohamad and Muhyiddin Yassin. Opposition Leader Hamzah Zainudin led participants in demanding governmental change.

Speakers attacked various policy failures and broken reform promises during their addresses. Azmin Ali condemned the current state of the Reformasi movement, while Dr. Mahathir questioned the methods of distributing cash aid. Muhyiddin highlighted rising living costs affecting ordinary citizens across the nation. Dominic Lau criticized the expensive international travel expenses without measurable returns. The demonstration proceeded without incident despite earlier official warnings about the event.
