A fatal collision between a passenger bus and a parked truck claimed three lives on the Narail-Jashore highway Sunday evening. Akhtar Hossain from the Basundia area died immediately at the crash site. Emergency responders transported two critically injured victims to Jashore General Hospital for urgent medical care. Abu Jafar from the Vekutia area and former Swechchhasebak Dal deputy general secretary succumbed to his injuries at the facility. Sub-inspector Nikkan Aadhya from Lahuria Investigation Centre deteriorated during transfer to Dhaka for advanced treatment. Medical staff at Narail Sadar Hospital pronounced the 35-year-old officer dead upon arrival.
