Top Lawyer Rips Into Ex-AG Over Ambulance Tape

Legal expert Martin Kpebu accused former Attorney General Godfred Dame of breaking professional rules during a major court case. Dame appeared on audio recordings trying to change what witness Richard Jakpa would say during the Ambulance trial. The recordings became evidence against Dame and showed him attempting to influence court testimony. Kpebu believes Dame acted against legal ethics regardless of the official investigation results. Citizens heard the audio tape and know Dame violated professional standards.

Daniel Kwame Ofosu-Appiah filed a formal complaint against Dame with the General Legal Council over his trial conduct. The complaint targets Dame's behavior during the case involving Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson and other defendants. Ofosu-Appiah wants the council to punish Dame for professional misconduct related to witness tampering. Legal authorities must examine whether Dame broke the rules that govern attorney behavior. The petition seeks serious penalties against the former government lawyer.

Kpebu argued that Dame should face public criticism before any official investigation begins. He told TV3 that society must hold Dame accountable for embarrassing the legal profession through his actions. The legal expert believes citizens can judge Dame based on what they heard from the recordings. Public opinion matters more than waiting for the General Legal Council to finish its investigation. Dame damaged trust between people and the justice system through his unethical behavior.
