A 12-year-old boy died after drowning at Pantai Puteri during a swimming trip with two companions. Mohammad Wafiy Adrian Mohd Ridzuan's body was recovered 150 metres from his last known location at 9:40 PM. Emergency responders received the distress call at 6:33 PM and reached the beach within eleven minutes.
Members of the public rescued the two other children before authorities arrived at the scene. Both survivors were transported to Melaka Hospital for medical evaluation. Police took custody of the victim's remains following the recovery operation.
