Native Instruments launches Traktor Play on Sunday, Nov. 3 for $49, marking the first time third-party controllers work with Traktor software. The entry-level DJ platform runs without external hardware and provides two decks, sync functions, key detection and effects such as reverb, delay and gating. AlphaTheta DDJ-FLX2 and DDJ-FLX4 controllers connect via plug-and-play, while Reloop Buddy and Ready models require basic configuration steps.
The software shares its engine with the flagship Traktor version and adds stem separation to isolate drum tracks, an 808-based Pattern Player and Mixer FX for filter sweeps. Beatport Streaming Advanced access is included for 1 month with each purchase.
